A Physician Who Practices Medicine Differently

Dr. Lynne B. Ahn is the founder and physician at the heart of Ahn Point Wellness. She is double board-certified in gastroenterology and anti-aging and regenerative medicine, a combination of specialist-level credentials that is rare in medicine and that forms the clinical foundation for the integrative, root-cause approach to health that defines every aspect of her practice.

Dr. Ahn built Ahn Point Wellness around a straightforward belief: that medicine should help people understand their health, identify what is driving their concerns, and build a personalized plan for the decades ahead. Her approach is grounded in advanced diagnostics, evidence-based clinical judgment, and a genuine commitment to the kind of ongoing partnership that produces results the conventional model rarely can. For patients who have not found answers through traditional care, Dr. Ahn offers something genuinely different: a physician who takes the time to understand the full picture, connects findings across systems, and develops a plan that reflects who each patient actually is.

Dr Lynn Ahn

Background and Training

Dr. Ahn grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she was an avid runner throughout her youth and competed in numerous local races, including the Pikes Peak Marathon in 1984. Her early discipline and love of physical health laid a foundation that has informed both her personal life and her clinical philosophy ever since.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minors in Physical Fitness and Health Management and English Literature. She went on to earn her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine, a nationally respected institution with a longstanding tradition of medical education.

Military Service

Following medical school, Dr. Ahn completed her internship at the Oakland Naval Hospital and her residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She then served for four years as a physician in the United States Navy, teaching medical students and residents at David Grant Medical Center and Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton while caring for active duty service members and their families.

She was honorably discharged in 2001 at the rank of Lieutenant Commander, at which time she relocated to the Boston area with her husband and two children. Dr. Ahn's military service shaped her approach to medicine in meaningful ways. The discipline, precision, and commitment to those in her care that defined her time in the Navy continue to characterize the way she practices today.

Specialty Training and Board Certifications

Following her military service, Dr. Ahn completed her fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston Medical Center and achieved board certification in gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her training provided deep, specialist-level expertise in gastrointestinal physiology, endoscopic procedures, and the clinical management of the full spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions.

Recognizing the limitations of a purely conventional approach to chronic disease and long-term health, Dr. Ahn pursued advanced training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), completing a two-year fellowship in functional medicine with a focus on bioidentical hormone therapy and primary disease prevention. She is board certified in anti-aging and regenerative medicine through the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

This combination of specialist-level training in gastroenterology and formal expertise in anti-aging, regenerative, and integrative medicine gives Dr. Ahn a genuinely distinctive clinical perspective. It allows her to address acute and chronic health concerns, procedural needs, and long-term health strategy within a single, trusted physician relationship.

Clinical Philosophy

Dr. Ahn practices medicine through a systems-based, root-cause lens, viewing the body as an interconnected whole rather than a collection of isolated conditions to be managed by separate specialists. She uses advanced diagnostics to look beyond standard evaluations, integrating findings across metabolic, hormonal, gastrointestinal, neurological, and immune systems to understand the full picture of what is driving each patient’s health. Her clinical decision-making is guided by evidence, precision, and a genuine commitment to the patient's best interest rather than trend, convenience, or the constraints of an insurance-driven model.

She recommends advanced therapies and diagnostics selectively, only when they provide real and demonstrable clinical value for the individual patient, and she takes the time at every appointment to educate, explain, and ensure that patients leave with a clear understanding of their health and a confident sense of what comes next. Dr. Ahn believes that lasting results require ongoing partnership. Every patient relationship at Ahn Point Wellness is built around continuity, trust, and a long-term strategy that evolves as the patient's health evolves, rather than episodic encounters that start over with every visit.

Beyond the Practice

Dr. Ahn's commitment to physical health and personal vitality extends well beyond her clinical work. A lifelong runner, she completed the Boston Marathon in 2014 a personal milestone that reflects the same discipline and long-term perspective she brings to her patients' health. She also enjoys paddleboarding, snowboarding, yoga, and long walks with her black Lab, Josie.

Her personal commitment to physical health and longevity is not separate from her clinical philosophy- it is an expression of it. Dr. Ahn understands from personal experience what it means to invest proactively in health, pursue physical resilience over the long term, and approach well-being as an ongoing commitment rather than a response to crisis. That perspective informs the care she provides to her patients.
