Here are answers to the questions we hear most often so you can make a confident, informed decision about your care.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Ahn Point Wellness different from a traditional medical practice?
Ahn Point Wellness is a physician-led integrative practice built around prevention, root-cause evaluation, and long-term health planning. Unlike traditional insurance-based medicine, we take the time to understand your full health picture—not just your symptoms—and build a personalized plan designed to support your health for the decades ahead.
What conditions and health concerns does Dr. Ahn address?
Dr. Ahn specializes in integrative gastroenterology and gut health, longevity and preventive medicine, hormone optimization, regenerative and metabolic health, and physician-guided medical aesthetics. She also addresses related concerns such as thyroid disorders, adrenal insufficiency, sleep disorders, sexual dysfunction, and stress management.
Do you accept health insurance?
Ahn Point Wellness is a cash-pay practice and does not accept or contract with any health insurance plans. We do not submit insurance claims or prepare insurance billing forms. Upon request, we are happy to provide a paid receipt with your diagnosis codes, NPI, and Tax ID. If additional information is required by your insurance company, we may provide it when appropriate. Payment in full is required at the time services are rendered. We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, checks, and cash. Financing is also available through PatientFi.
Why is Ahn Point Wellness a cash-pay practice?
The cash-pay model allows Dr. Ahn to spend the time each patient deserves—without the constraints, limitations, or fragmented care that insurance-based medicine often produces. It also allows for access to advanced diagnostics and therapies that fall outside what insurance typically covers, ensuring that clinical decisions are guided by patient need, not coverage restrictions.
What does the initial consultation include?
The fee to get started is $4,500, which includes an initial consultation (60–75 minutes), a Comprehensive Follow-Up appointment (45 minutes), and one specialty test. During your visit, Dr. Ahn will review your complete health history, perform a focused physical exam, and recommend testing based on your individual needs. She will conduct an extensive evaluation of your hormonal balance, gut health, nutrition, and genomics, and develop an individualized treatment plan designed around your specific goals.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring photos or copies of all current prescriptions and supplements (front and back), as well as any lab work or blood work completed within the past year. This allows Dr. Ahn to review your history thoroughly and avoid duplicating any tests unnecessarily.
Do you offer telemedicine appointments?
Yes. We are happy to offer telemedicine appointments for patients who live too far away to be seen in the office or who prefer the convenience of a remote visit. We can also arrange for testing to be completed at a laboratory near your home or have testing kits sent to you directly.
How do I get started?
Simply complete our New Patient Form so Dr. Ahn can learn more about your health concerns and determine how Ahn Point Wellness can best support your care. Once your account is created, you'll receive access to our patient portal to complete your health questionnaire and any necessary forms prior to your visit.
